Overview.

Utilita Energy is one of the leading PAYG energy suppliers in the UK - suppling over 800,000 homes. They install every customer with market-leading smart meters allowing greater control over their energy usage and spend - leading to lower energy bills. Their award-winning My Utilita app, customer reward service, Utilita Extra and monthly lottery, Utilita Jackpot show how they are shaking up the energy industry for the better.

Utilita tasked us with supporting their overall digital marketing strategy to produce a wide variety of video content to promote their service. The aim was to create dynamic and engaging content and help with the evolution of their brand identity.

Our solution.

Utilita Energy launched an update to their award-winning app in 2020, giving their customers' even more control over their energy usage and spend. Customers can view their energy balances or last bill, submit a meter reading, and keep on top of their usage – all on the go. It even won an award for ‘Best App’ at the Uswitch Energy Awards 2020.

We were asked to produce dynamic video content to support their launch along with a number of ‘how-to’ videos to educate customers on how each feature of the new app works. A variety of videos were produced to suit all social media platforms - including bespoke videos for Instagram Stories.

Following the launch of the new app, we continue to work closely with the Brand Team at Utilita to support on a wide range of campaigns. This includes the production of new video content to promote their customer reward service, new app feature launches and educational videos for customers. Plus, we also develop all of the visual assets required for their Google Display Remarketing Campaigns - including dynamic display ads in HTML format.

Next steps

Utilita now receives weekly Design support, with eye-catching and engaging video content, allowing them to maximise audience engagement across all of their digital channels.

Our work has enabled Utilita to launch educational content, helping their customers to understand new initiatives, and has created brand consistency as they’ve grown.
